A straight line connects the classic Ferrari F355 to last decade’s F430, and the point in between them is this car: the Ferrari 360 Modena Berlinetta. This 2003 model is only one of several thousand produced, but you will be hard pressed to find such a specimen in better condition.

If you aren’t aware of what the F360 Modena can do, or if you need a refresher, take a moment to verse yourself on this exciting subject.

Ferrari 360 Modena: Made to Meet a New Millennium’s Standards

Built from 1999 to 2005, the F360 was named for Modena, the Italian home of Enzo Ferrari. The designers had to know that a special car like this needed to meet all the standards set by those who came before, but at the turn of the millennium, this coupe also needed to be more impressive than any car Ferrari had built before.

It’s little wonder that they succeeded in the way that only Ferrari can.

Armed with a new V8 engine, the signature flat plane crankshaft, and a new F1 6-speed automatic transmission, the F360 has the specs needed to make anyone in the driver’s seat happy. Put your foot down to the tune of 400 horsepower, 276 pound-feet of torque, and a top speed of 175 miles per hour. The Modena is fast enough to run the 0-60 sprint in just 4.5 seconds.

The Berlinetta is just Ferrari’s way of calling this car a hard-top, but it was also available as a Spider convertible and as the track-focused Challenge Stradale. If you’re content with speeding around the roads of California with the windows down and a roof over your head, you should be more than satisfied with this car.
