It will come as little surprise to fans of the brand, but Porsche has once again scored highest in the J.D. Power ‘APEAL’ ranking. This is the eleventh year in a row the luxury car manufacturer has topped this list, which is put together based on U.S. consumer ratings.

APEAL stands for Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout, which makes the vehicles on this list incredibly well-rounded – the best of the best. More than 84,000 consumers were polled, and the questions asked thoroughly evaluate every aspect of the vehicle in question, from safety and fuel usage to styling and comfort.

Porsche performed outstandingly in this test, scoring 874 out of a possible 1,000 points. To put that in perspective, the industry average was 798, and even among premium vehicles, the score was only 841.

The Porsche Macan, Cayenne, and Cayman Top Polls

Particularly high achievers from Porsche’s ranks were the Macan, the Cayenne, and the Cayman. The Macan, which was rated as the best Compact Premium SUV, appears sleek and luxurious, but not necessarily a car that will burn up the track. However, appearances are deceiving. Boasting 252 horsepower, the Macan is a speedy and stylish ride.

The Cayenne won Midsize Premium SUV for the fifth year in a row, and for good reason. Not only does the Cayenne look every inch the high-quality vehicle it is, but it also features an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. This makes it easy to handle in curves and a great family vehicle.

The Cayman took home the title of best Compact Premium Sporty Car. This vehicle is built for speed and performance. It includes a turbocharged flat-four engine and 300 hp in the base model, making it the vehicle of choice for the racing enthusiast. Nevertheless, comfort is not cast aside, even here. Porsche offers as standard a state-of-the-art infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen.
