It looks like Pagani is set to give their sun-loving car fanatics what they have been waiting for since the Huayra first hit the design room. After their enormous success with the Huayra, Pagani realized it was about time that they introduce a roofless version for all convertible lovers. A new leaked sales brochure has revealed the surprise – a new Huayra Roadster for their enthusiastic fans around the world. It is supposed to make its first appearance at this year’s Geneva Auto Show.
The new Huayra Roadster will have two removable roof panels, made from lightweight and durable carbon fiber, similar to the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster in design. This was an essential choice for the mid-engined Huayra, where fitting a folding roof would have skewed its clean, sleek lines.
Pagani Huayra Roadster to be Revealed at Geneva Auto Show
Whether the brand new Roadster will have any improved mechanical features still remains a mystery. The Huayra stock 6.0-liter V12 monster engine is built by Mercedes-Benz, a Pagani partner since 1999, and generates an enormous 720 horsepower, and an upgraded 789-horsepower V12 is an available option.
Pagani plans to run an online sales campaign for their newly designed Huayra Roadster in the weeks before the March 2017 Geneva Auto Show. The new Huayra Roadster will almost certainly cost more than the original Huayra design, which carries a price tag of more than $1 million.
The exclusive price tag is justified by the new and innovative refinements that the talented designers have made to their new masterpiece. The new images show improved rear end air diffuser and tail lights, which make the new Huayra Roadster more than just a Huayra without a roof. It’s an instant Pagani classic that combines elegance with performance.
